To ensure a smooth and fair experience for all customers, please take the 3 minutes to read through the ordering process and important notes regarding packaging, labelling, and shipping.

1. Order Limits (Initial Period)

To ensure fair access to our teas during the early stages of production, we kindly ask that customers limit their orders to a maximum total of 4kg of any combination of Ceremonial Matcha per customer per month. This limit will be in place until further notice.

If an order exceeds this amount, we will refund the excess quantity (minus transaction fees).

2. Shipping by Production Month

All teas are produced and shipped according to their scheduled Production Month and shipping will be completed by the end of the month selected.

If your order contains teas from multiple production months, the order will be shipped once all teas are ready.

For example:

An order containing:

  • Gokou Matcha 1000g (10 × 100g) – August Shipping Slot
  • Gokou Matcha 1000g (10 × 100g) – September Shipping Slot
  • Okumidori Matcha 1000g (40 × 25g) – August Shipping Slot

will be shipped in September, once the September production is complete.

If you would like to receive teas earlier, please place separate orders by production month.

3. Packing Sizes

Only the following packing sizes are available:

  • 1000g Aluminium Ziploc Packaging
  • 100g Aluminium Ziploc Packaging
  • 25g Aluminium Ziploc Packaging
  • 25g Pull Tab Screw Cap Aluminium Tin

Please ensure that you add the appropriate packaging options for every 1000g of tea ordered.

If no packaging is selected, the tea will be shipped in 1kg bulk packaging.

4. Packing Instructions

You are welcome to divide the total quantity into multiple packaging sizes, provided the total matches the ordered amount.

For example:

  • 1000g = 5 × 100g + 20 × 25g

For multiple teas or custom combinations, please clearly indicate your preferences in the notes at checkout.

Example:

  • Okumidori Matcha 2000g:  – 40 × 25g  – 10 × 100g
  • Samidori Matcha 2000g:  – 20 × 100g

5. Labelling and Expiry Date Options

For 25g and 100g packages, you can choose:

  • Obubu Label or No Label  – Includes both front and back labels with Obubu branding, or no labelling at all.
  • With or Without Expiry Date  – Expiry date is printed on the lower back of the packaging if selected.

For 1000g packages, only the option with Obubu Label and Expiry Date is available.

Labelling and expiry preferences are determined based on the packaging options added to your cart.
